The installation and scenic layout ANGELS is specially designed for the piece WE HOPE THIS HELPS by Ildikó Tóth and Jone San Martín. WE HOPE THIS HELPS is a choreographic and multi-media production, a sentient environment with the ANGELS making up the scenography.

ANGELS have nothing to do with angelic behaviour.

Jean Genet feared them, imagine, they are entities composed neither of spirit nor of matter, only whiteness, vaporous and terrifying.

Gustav Fechner, for his part, defined them as beings made of pure sensibility. Marie Bardet presents them to us as both sources of light and sensitive surfaces, like a soap bubble, they exist on the edge. This is also the image of the harmonious human bodies given to us by Heinrich Tessenow in “Handwerk Und Kleinstadt”.

These entities are beings that form a collective skin. Somatically fragile but powerful, they extend their influence environmentally and assemble themselves by thinking together with the bodies within their reach, creating new bodily configurations with each subtle, oscillating breath.

Revolution is only possible through the enrichment of perceptions and sensualities.

The ANGELS are a changing environment that reminds us of what we are, but at the same time builds the possibility of joint and evolutionary transformations.

WE HOPE THIS HELPS establishes a vibratory interconnection between a living environment, the atmospheric changes that occur over time, the bodies and memories of our sensual past.
