A seminar and workshop developed at Grenoble where we have been working in a somatic question: What is your flesh made of?

The array of answers were traversed by the gestures developed by women (like Nuria Alvarez Coll and her company) who build with earth.These are actions of research of the land, of its geology, its composition, its origins and about the potential of materiality in relation to somatic, time and engagement links in between people.

To make a hole in the courtyard and to build a wall with the community is an action of nurturing the body with gestures. And gestures, from the primeval movements of the mouth of babies, till the slow trajectories of the elderlies, passing through a whole bestiary of animal movements within us, create an ambiance, a sensibility to be with. During these two days we have gone through all of them. The workshop, developed in the Abbaye neighbourhood, has been developed for/with COLECTIVO TERRÓN in the headquarters of Le Grand Collectif and Les Voisins. In parallel we have had also the pleasure of visiting the International Ambiances Network Cresson Laboratory, for the lecture “In Relation to the Body and the Icons of Nature”, and the CRAterre Laboratory.
